Why Bhutan?
Bhutan is unlike anywhere else in the world. It’s not just a destination. It’s a revelation.
This small Himalayan kingdom measures success not by economic output, but by Gross National Happiness. Here, joy is a national priority. Simplicity is honoured. Presence is part of the rhythm. Bhutan invites you to remember what truly matters and how little you actually need to feel full, free and deeply content.
When Emma first visited Bhutan in 2015, she was transformed. The beauty was breathtaking. The architecture is pristine, purposeful, and in perfect harmony with the land. But it was a quiet conversation with her guide that changed everything. His advice?
Be good. Good is enough.
That simple truth echoed through every experience. In Bhutan, enoughness is a way of life. Generosity is effortless. Community is sacred. And happiness isn’t something to chase, it’s something to choose.
This is the essence of the Bleisure Life. And Bhutan is the perfect place to embody it.
If you’re seeking soul-deep clarity, grounded luxury, and a meaningful shift in how you live, Bhutan is calling.
What you will get from attending the
Bleisure Life Retreat:
Clarity
In the stillness of Bhutan’s sacred spaces, you’ll find what so many driven people rarely make time for, space to hear your own truth. Refine your vision. Reclaim your rhythm. Realign with what matters most.
Connections
Share the journey with a curated circle of like-minded leaders and soulful adventurers. These are not surface-level connections, they’re the kind that expand you, sustain you, and stay with you long after the retreat ends.
Perspective
Bhutan doesn’t just offer beauty. It offers wisdom. You’ll be immersed in a culture that chooses presence over pressure, contentment over constant striving. That shift will change how you see your life and how you lead it.
Restoration
This is restoration on every level. Body, mind, spirit. From yoga in the fresh mountain air to long, quiet moments in ancient monasteries, you’ll feel yourself soften, settle, and return to wholeness.
Empowerment
This is not a break. It’s a beginning. With grounded tools and deep support, you’ll return home with the clarity, courage and energy to step fully into your next chapter, the one that’s truly yours.
So what are you waiting for?
This is your invitation to step into stillness, clarity and intention. To honour your vision, expand your world, and create space for what you truly desire: in life, in work, and in the way you move through it all.
The Bleisure Life Retreat awaits.
I'm ready - take me there.
Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for the visionary. The seeker. The one who’s ready to live and lead with deeper intention.
It’s for you if you're craving something more. Not more to do, but more space to be. To breathe. To realign.
You might be:
- An entrepreneur or business owner ready to expand with clarity and creativity
- A professional in transition, seeking purpose beyond productivity
- A curious soul at a crossroads, yearning to reconnect with what truly matters
- A traveller who knows the journey within is just as important as the one across the world
- A leader, a listener, a lifelong learner, someone who chooses growth, always
If these words land, you already know.
This retreat is calling you, and you are ready to say YES.
Who's your host?
Meet Emma Lovell
Founder of Rest & Receive and The Bleisure Coach
I’m Emma , coach, speaker and author of The Art of Bleisure. I help people blend business, travel, and self-care into a life they truly love, one that feels aligned, expansive, and deeply fulfilling.
With 16 years in business and 76 countries explored, I’ve built a life around freedom, connection, and purpose. And now, I guide others to do the same, not by pushing harder, but by pausing, realigning, and stepping into their own rhythm.
Bhutan changed me.
I first came in 2015 as a tour leader on a charity challenge called “The Trek to Happiness” which raised thousands for Black Dog Institute. I’ve trekked these mountains. I’ve sat in sacred spaces. I’ve felt the impact of this land and how it quietly shifts everything inside you. That journey changed my life. And now, I want to share it with you.
Back in 2022, I set a powerful intention: to lead retreats in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan. I knew it was time. I knew this region, so close to my heart, would be the container for transformation. Now, that vision is reality. And you get to experience it with me.
Through my trusted partner Indus Bound, we’ve crafted the most exquisite, meaningful itinerary. Every moment is intentional. Every detail, considered. This isn’t just travel, it’s a curated journey into clarity, purpose, and presence.
South Asia is like a second home to me. I feel its magnetism in my bones and I know, deeply, that on this retreat, you will too. You’ll feel the pull. You’ll feel the shift.
And I’ll be right there beside you.
As your coach. Your guide. Your host.
Ready to welcome you into the journey of a lifetime.
It's mind-blowing. I will carry it with me for the rest of my life. The big draw card for me with Emma's Retreat was that it was combining two of my favourite things, travel and self-development. It's beyond what I could have imagined, just incredible.

Sri Lanka Retreat 2024
Emma was a fantastic host and facilitator for the retreat. Everything was taken care of! So I could relax and focus on taking what I needed from the retreat. She had a great way of creating a safe space for everyone to share openly and vulnerably. I'm excited to join another in future!

Why Rest & Receive Retreats?
At Rest & Receive, we believe that the greatest breakthroughs happen in the quiet moments—in the spaces between doing and being. We’ve built our ethos around the transformative power of rest and intentionality, knowing that stepping away from the day-to-day allows clarity, connection, and inspiration to flourish. This is the foundation for all of our retreats.
Our Purpose
Rest & Receive is not your typical business retreat. While others may focus on endless sessions and packed schedules, we create an environment where the true magic lies in conversations, connections, and the community we cultivate together. Here, you’ll find the spaciousness to dream boldly and act intentionally.
Our Approach
- Rest: To restore, regenerate, and reinvigorate. Resting is not just a pause but a necessary part of growth—giving your mind, body, and spirit the time and care they need to align.
- Receive: To welcome opportunities with openness and trust. By creating the mental and emotional space for possibility, we invite the future we envision into our lives.
Our Promise
During your retreat, we guide you out of the busy "in the business" mode and into a state of expanded perspective. This is about the long-term—the vision for your future and the meaningful impact you want to make. With time and space for reflection, and curated moments of connection, you will leave empowered, recharged, and ready to step into your next chapter.
At Rest & Receive, we live by collaboration over competition, embracing vulnerability, and honouring every participant’s journey. This is a space where self-care meets strategy and where dreams become action.
This isn’t just a retreat—it’s an investment in yourself and the transformative power of your potential.
What's the plan?
Over seven transformative days, we’ll step away from the noise and immerse ourselves in the profound beauty, culture, and spirit of Bhutan. This retreat has been intentionally curated in partnership with our trusted travel experts at Indus Bound, whose deep regional knowledge ensures an experience that’s both seamless and soul-stirring.
From sacred temples to majestic mountains, we’ll journey through Bhutan’s most breathtaking regions all while holding spaciousness to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Because the true essence of retreat is found not only in the awe of where you are, but in the presence you bring to it.
It’s in the stillness. In the unexpected clarity. In the quiet moments that shift everything and the exhale you didn’t know you were waiting for.
